John Kahara

John Kahara has been a Trap Door ensemble member since 2002.  His Trap Door credits include Nana, Katzelmacher, The Venetian Twins, Garden of Delights, The Crazy Locomotive (NYCfringe), The Fourth Sister, The Swan (Co-director, Jeff Citation nomination for Supporting Actor) and Emma.  John also works exclusively with internationally renown visual artist Catherine Sullivan, appearing in her last four pieces; The Ice Floes of Franz Josef Land (Whitney Bienniel, Orensanz Manifestation, 2004), The Chittendens (Tate Modern, London, 2005), and Triangle of Need (Walker Institute, Minneapolis, 2007).  Around town, John has done shows with Profiles, Bailiwick, Steep and Prop Thtr (Co-Producer, Co-Director; Actor:  Craver Perry).  Look for John this season playing the role of Rainier Maria Rilke in Trap Door's production of The Beholder.
